WTN Services® and the Winetasting Network® and their employees have been involved with the event for many years running and have been instrumental in encouraging other industry leaders to become involved.
“WTN Services® and the Winetasting Network® are pleased to be doing what we can in these turbulent times,” stated Chris Edwards, Vice President and General Manager. “We are always looking at ways that we can help make a difference, and getting our employees involved in their community. We look forward to continuing efforts like special donations through sales and community events in the future, and to encouraging partnerships with many of our industry friends in those endeavors,” Edwards added.
The Fun Factor
Employees at WTN Services® and the Winetasting Network® are also enthused about this ongoing program. Part of the payoff is the increased camaraderie within the company as employees volunteer to help. For the 2009 Academy Awards® Viewing Party, WTN Services® tapped into the talents and creativity of their employee Kristina Palko, who designed the event’s poster and t-shirts.
“It makes all of us feel good to be able to help others, especially in these tough economic times,” Edwards continued. “The fun factor is huge when you are working together for the community. We have even been able to work with one of our partners to secure national celebrity and noted television, film and radio personality Bob Sarlatte to emcee this year’s event. It’s those kinds of things that help make it fun…and everyone knows we need some fun these days!” Edwards said.
