Our own Jen Sims- Marathon runner for charity…

Active participation in our community is a WTN Services/1-800Flowers corporate value. We encourage our team-members to be engaged in our community and with worthy causes. Our own Jen Sim’s is a passionate example of that commitment.

Jen is a WTN Services Account Manager responsible for key corporate accounts. When not running to service her accounts, she is running for a cause. Jen has been actively involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program for the last 3 seasons as both a participant and mentor.

She ran the San Diego Marathon last summer and is training for the Alaska Marathon in June 2007 and will continue to be involved with the society until a cure is found.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training® is the world’s largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more than 295,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $660 million for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society’s mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
