Green Fulfillment Tip…
Many wineries ship glasses and accessory items and of course a winery expects those items to deliver safely. The standard for the wine industry fulfillment providers has been to wrap these fragile items in bubble wrap and then place them in polystyrene peanuts for protection in shipping. When a customer opens the box it appears he has a box full of stryo-popcorn or styro peanuts and it fills his trashcan to dispose of them.
Now WTN has found an environmentally friendly alternative. WTN has the option of providing corn starch manufactured peanuts in lieu of the standard polystyrene peanuts as filler. The corn starch packaging can literally be thrown into a sink, hot water poured over them and they melt and flow down the drain. This makes a better customer experience and is environmentally freindly. Over the next 6 months WTN Services will be converting completely to this envrionmentally friendly alternative providing greener packaging of accessory items to our customers.
